Nature

If you are a fan of "slowcations", enjoy our beautiful nature, the calm of Vrana Lake and relax on sunny beaches. Or you can go on a diving adventure and explore the Murter channel on the first underwater trail in Croatia! And if you would like to expand your knowledge, take a walk down the ecological and educational trail from Tisno to Jezera and learn all about the flora and fauna of this area!

The Tisno municipality boasts various natural phenomena making it a unique area and a must-see in Croatia. Prepare to marvel at many different relief features in a relatively small area that includes islands, the sea, a lake, drinking water springs, karst fields and even therapeutic mud (peloid). The largest natural lake in Croatia, Vrana Lake, which is also a cryptodepression, is an extraordinary combination of land and water also known as a abundant ornithological reserve and the centre of biodiversity. Its great value has made it a nature park that has been added to the list of important bird areas in Europe, as well as to the list of wetlands of international importance - the Ramsar list. The fact that Vrana Lake and the area around the island of Murter, the Murter channel, the Makirina bay and the islet of Kukuljar were included into the ecological network of protected areas covering Europe's most valuable and threatened species and habitats - Natura 2000 - testifies to the incredible beauty, uniqueness and importance of these areas that will not leave you indifferent.
